Ambulance operations staff will find themselves:
- Demonstrating adaptive and creative thinking skills through overcoming language and cultural barriers in treating a diverse patient population
- Delivering care with a wide scope of practice supported by the new St John NT Clinical Practice Manual
- Developing an understanding of the unique characteristics of living and working under extreme weather conditions and in ‘out of the ordinary’ situations
The minimum requirements for Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD) and patient transport careers is a current first aid certificate. On-the-job training and mentoring will be provided to ensure you attain the appropriate qualifications.
The minimum requirements for paramedics is a Bachelor of Paramedic Science from a Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA) accredited tertiary institution and AHPRA Registration as a Paramedic.
