Communications Centres

St John NT operates two Communications Centres in the Northern Territory. One is located in Alice Springs, the other at the joint Emergency Services Communication Centre at the Peter McAulay Centre in Berrimah. This Berrimah Centre is one of a kind in Australia in that it accommodates police, fire, ambulance and emergency services in the one centre, and is hence called a Tri-Service Communications Centre.

We are available to receive emergency calls every hour of every day, every day of the year. Our experienced Communications Officers gather vital patient, location and situation information to provide emergency services and dispatch ambulances as quickly as possible.
