St John NT
Buying an AED is not something that should be put on the backburner
With Sudden Cardiac Arrest being one of the leading causes of death in Australia, having a Defibrillator in your workplace, community club or home can make the difference between life and death. They are easy to use, maintain, and can save a life prior to the ambulance arriving. It is St John NT’s aim to place up to 1000 public access defibrillators in the Northern Territory by 2021.
In Australia only one in ten people survive a sudden cardiac arrest.
If a defibrillator is applied within the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest, survival rates can be as high as 70%.
It is St John NT’s aim to place up to 1,000 public access defibrillators in the Northern Territory by 2021.
