St John NT is looking to recruit members of the community to join its Volunteer Leadership Group.
The volunteer roles will provide guidance across a range of areas and support the delivery of St John NT’s volunteer activities including training and development, Event Health Services and Community Education.
Commissioner of Volunteers, Melissa Crompton was excited to open the leadership roles up to the broader community.
“St John NT volunteers are recognised and respected for providing a highly skilled and dedicated service to the community. We have recently reviewed our management structure to ensure that we remain focussed on how we can best meet the needs of our community.
“The new Volunteer Leadership Group will work with me to maintain and strengthen our standards in training and mentoring of our junior and adult members, first aid and logistics at community and major events across the Northern Territory as well as support services to the community in times of need,” she said.
“This is a great opportunity for people looking to use their skillsets to give back to the community or to develop professional experience in a volunteering capacity. St John NT volunteers operate as part of the national and international Order of St John, providing members a variety of opportunities to contribute to a global organisation and learn from its extensive network of volunteers.”
The St John NT volunteer program promotes self-learning and development, encouraging their members to develop competence, confidence, compassion, and a sense of community, first aid services and community engagement.
