St John NT is pleased to see that the Territory’s response to COVID-19 will now allow for the easing of restrictions in line with the Northern Territory Government’s guidelines, “Roadmap to the new normal.”
As the Territory’s leading provider of first aid and ambulance services we are keen to see these guidelines followed correctly to ensure the safety of our staff, patients and community.
As such, we will also take a staged approach in our return to business to ensure that we can manage staffing, resources and our ambulance stations across the Territory.
Casuarina Ambulance Station
The Casuarina Station will remain closed to the public for now, if you would like to pay an ambulance subscription please visit one of our retail stores at Allchurch Street in Alice Springs or 416 Stuart Highway, Winnellie phone 8922 6200 or email subscriptions@stjohnnt.asn.au.
First Aid Supplies
Our PPE supplies are now starting to arrive and we are conscious that some businesses will be keen to restock their supplies now that staff will be returning to work. Information regarding these products can be found here. We are also available for onsite restocking services for businesses to ensure your First Aid kits are up to standard.
If you are interested in an item that is not included on this list, please contact our retail team at sales@stjohnnt.asn.au or 8935 2500.
Our local retail teams at Allchurch Street in Alice Springs and 416 Stuart Highway, Winnellie can offer contactless payment and collection for all your First Aid requirements.
First Aid Training
At this stage we plan to be able to offer first aid classes in some regions from Tuesday, 9 June. We will contact students directly who had classes cancelled due to social distancing and provide information on our website as classes become available.
In the meantime, we will continue to provide the following courses:
HLTAID001 Provide CPR – Online and 1 hour face to face
Price: $85 per person
This CPR course is designed for students updating previously gained skills and is ideal for individuals who work from home, are isolated to their workplace, or have time constraints, and are able to complete required study before attending. It allows them to complete all theory learning online before attending a short assessment to demonstrate competency.
Students will be assessed one on one with a trainer, allowing for only one student at a time to complete the course. Each assessment session will run for one hour, allowing us to deliver multiple sessions in a day.
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid - Online and 2 hours face to face.

Provide First Aid Assessment Only is ideal for individuals who work from home, are isolated to their workplace, or have time constraints, and are able to complete required study before attending. Cadets & Volunteers
We are currently reviewing timing and locations for our Cadet and Adult volunteer divisional meetings and will be in contact directly as soon as possible.
If you interested in joining our volunteer team please visit our website or contact volunteers@stjohnnt.asn.au.
We need your support now more than ever
As a self-funded charitable organisation, all funding for our volunteer programs is raised through donations and commercial activities within the St John NT business. Sadly this year St John NT’s business revenue to support its volunteer program will suffer a tragic loss.
Our volunteers are a valuable resource to the Territory, both in emergency situations and at public community events. If you are able, we ask that you please consider making a donation to support our volunteers.
Thank you for your continued support of St John NT.
To keep informed about COVID-19, we encourage the community to visit SecureNT.
