In their day-to-day work, St John paramedics, staff and volunteers regularly go above and beyond the call of duty and as role models within their profession.
Recognising the valuable contribution St John staff, paramedics and volunteers make to their community, nominations are now open for the St John Annual Awards 2018.
In 2000, the Rotary Club of Darwin Sunrise launched the ‘Paramedic of the Year Award’ to recognise, praise and honour the hard and tireless work of Territory St John paramedics.
Renamed to ‘St John Annual Awards’, this year the awards not only give the public and peers an opportunity to acknowledge and show appreciation for the efforts of front line paramedics, patient transport officers and Triple Zero call-takers, but also recognise volunteers and all St John staff including Community Education officers, workshop mechanics, First Aid trainers, sales personnel and administration staff.
“Whether they are in Darwin, Katherine, Nhulunbuy, Tennant Creek or Alice Springs – our teams are passionate, dedicated and care about the community they serve,” St John Ambulance NT CEO Judith Barker said.
“We are here for the Territory – and the St John Annual Awards are a chance for Territorians to say thank you to those who demonstrate exceptional levels of St John values in integrity, respect, quality, dedication and compassion.”
Nominations are now open for Paramedic of the Year Northern Region, Southern Region, Young Practitioner, Patient Transport Officer, Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Excellence in Service – Volunteer and Excellence in Service – Staff.
